Monaco Mediax commits to Monaco's energy transition

One year ago, Monaco Mediax signed the Commitment Charter of the National Energy Transition Pact, committing itself alongside the Principality to reducing its environmental impact.

With more 35 employees, the Monegasque association wishes to contribute to the collective movement which is constantly growing.

Among the simple daily actions implemented in its offices and during its events, we can highlight:

  • Raising awareness of the teams to reduce paper and save energy
  • Eliminating plastic bottles and cups
  • The replacement of capsule coffee machines with bean-to-cup machines
  • The introduction of water fountains to replace disposable plastic bottles
  • The use of ecological and biodegradable cleaning products in agreement with the cleaning company
  • Training its employees in selective sorting
  • The dematerialisation of documentation
  • LOffering participants green mobility solutions: city buses, electric taxis, etc.
  • Reusing event material as much as possible from one edition to the other
  • Donating our goodies, books and bags to humanitarian associations

As a reminder, the National Pact, put in place in January 2018, aims at committing the Monegasque Community to achieving the objectives of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, set at - 50% in 2030 compared to 1990 and carbon neutrality in 2050.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, followed by His Government, were the first signatories of the National Pact, which now has over 500 signatories.
