The magic of sports once again captivated the audience during the 2024 SPORTEL Awards Ceremony, held Monday, October 28th, at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Broadcasted live by TV Monaco, the country's first public national channel within the TV5 Monde network, the evening lived up to all expectations.
The night began with a parade of champions from diverse disciplines on the purple carpet, a tribute to the athletics track of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Hosted by former decathlete and rugby player Marc Maury, the ceremony held in the majestic Prince Pierre auditorium, brought together an array of remarkable figures of the sports world, from renowned athletes to rising stars.
The Golden Podiums honored the best sports sequences of the year, and The Sports Book Prize Renaud de Laborderie was awarded to the outstanding sports publication The Last Heroes: 100 Moments of Olympics Legend, published by Assouline.
Renowned athletes took to the stage to present awards to the winners selected by the 2024 Jury led by Laura Flessel-Colovic, iconic French fencer and former Minister of Sports. The jury brought together prominent personalities from various sports fields, including photographer and dancer Mathieu Forget; Pauline Déroulède, France’s No. 1 wheelchair tennis player; investigative journalist Stéphane Le Goff; Céline Jobert, founder and president of LAFOURMI and The Fan Syndicate; handball world champion Jackson Richardson, representing FNOSC; and Florent Piétrus, Peace Champion for Peace and Sport and multi-medalist with the French basketball team.
The evening also featured an extraordinary acrobatic performance by Nicolas Fleury, who shared the values of sport, captivating audience from his bicycle. Emotion ran high as Nelson Monfort conducted interviews with recently French medallists.

Louis Ducruet, representing H.S.H. Prince Albert II, concluded the evening by presenting the Lifetime Sport Achievement Award to Nikola Karabatic, a French and international handball icon, three-time Olympic champion, four-time world champion, and three-time European champion. The Autobiography Prize was awarded to Dominique Rocheteau, an emblematic figure of French football and winner of the Euro 1984, for his book Foot Sentimental, praised for its authenticity and depth.
