As the long-awaited 32nd edition draws to a close, SPORTEL Monaco 2022 proved that it remains the biggest international gathering and the true home of the global sports business industry. Once again, some of the most influential business leaders (over 42% C-level executives) were in Monaco to meet, network and discuss the latest trends in the industry.
Feedback from some of the 1900 participants was extremely positive, with many remarking on the electric atmosphere, the number of deals being done, the plethora of networking opportunities, and the high standard of the masterclasses, keynotes and discussions were held in front of capacity audiences. There was also delight to see familiar faces as well as to meet and discover the 170 first-timers and the business opportunities that they bring along with them.
To wrap up this 2022 edition, SPORTEL CEO Laurent Puons concludes: « It has been such a pleasure to be back with a sold-out event that brought together the global sports rights and distribution industry. I am delighted to see a thriving and busy exhibition space once again in the Ravel and Diaghilev halls, alongside the phenomenal success of the conference summit at Speakers’ Corner and the many valuable insights that were offered by our speakers. On top of that, the prospect of SPORTEL’s return to Asia after four years of absence, with a brand-new edition of SPORTEL Rendez-vous in Bali next February, as well as the second edition of SPORTEL Rendez-vous Miami in May, means that we head into 2023 full of energy and optimism. »
SPORTEL’s strategy remains unchanged, with SPORTEL Monaco the main flagship event, bringing together the whole sports industry in one location and SPORTEL’s “Rendez-Vous” providing additional opportunities to do business internationally, across different markets and continents throughout the year, in a smaller, more intimate and affordable format.
